The record “One of My Homies” is produced by the Inglewood, CA production duo Zaire Koalo and JQ Lamaj. I wrote this back in november while I was out in Madrid during my stay at The Red Bull Music Academy alongside Gora Sou, an 18 year old producer from Germany. (minus Que ). After watching their season of Making The Band, I absolutely did become a fan.. The Jim Beanz produced record serves as the 1st single from their forthcoming ‘A New Day’ via Atlantic Records.. Hope the label gives them the support they need to have a successful release considering this song dropped in October of 2011. Now i’m bout to go youtube surfing to jam to their old hits.

Reasons why i love NYC, everyone knows some one! I ran into this music video through my good friend Shivs blog this morning, (anything Shiv approves is worth checking out) and loved it and Gita. I asked my friend Skotch to connect myself and Gita, 20 mins later Gita calls. Gita is from Oakland, CA – she moved to NYC in 2009 unplanned but anxious to settle and start her music career. I rarely care for female emcee’s, I enjoyed Kreayshawn and before that was Remi Ma.. so lol i’m pretty bad with women rappers but i’m excited to hear more from Gita. She’s finalizing her first mixtape with producer DJ Two Stacks so stay tuned for more!
