I wrote this back in november while I was out in Madrid during my stay at The Red Bull Music Academy alongside Gora Sou, an 18 year old producer from Germany. Jay-Z gave a $1,500 concert last night at Carnegie Hall, and I guess people got their money’s worth because Queen B was there with Lil’ B also. The Roots put together a visual interpretation for their contribution off the Soundtrack For a Revolution soundtrack. The project will be released on February 14th and features other Civil Rights-era freedom songs performed by the likes of Joss Stone, John Legend, Anthony Hamilton, Wyclef Jean and others.
