MeLo-X is an extraordinaire of many things. He’s a producer, rapper, DJ and if i’m not mistaken i think he dabbles in photography. Today, Melo drops his first full-length instrumental release, “Fewture” which can be purchased on iTunes right here. He also released a nifty video to accompany track #8 off Fewture which was shot and produced by TONE and Vinny Picone.

After months of preparation and a successful art exhibition/video debut in Brooklyn, MeLo-X brings you his latest visual masterpiece “Mirrors In My Mind”. This is a collaboration project between MeLo-X and collage artist GiGi Bio. This latest piece of work features MeLo and actress Shawntia Homenuk playing a homeless couple who survive the gritty New York streets only to become their alternate mirrored self, which is a couple filled with Royal Elegance and Style. The video also features styling by Soull & Dynasty of BRZE and additional graphic and film editing by Alexis Casson.

It’s moments like this that make me fall in love with Hip Hop.
People like Melo remind me why i ever started a blog. I used to be so motivated and moved by artist that never got proper credit or we’re coming up yet the head blogs didn’t support; I’ve lost a lot of that feeling unfortunately.. Anyhow Melo-X has locked himself away for awhile just to come back out with something great. I love his music, his instrumentals are always so powerful, i’ve been a fan of his for a while. This simple 10 track LP is packed with an advanced artist who’s grown musically not including any trailers, no singles, no aggravating hyped up emails, tweets, or post. Just a present he’s been working on and finally is ready to share. My favorite track is easily Kings Theme <3, shouts to Shamz @ OKP for dropping this project.
