XV Signs to Warner Bro. Records + Tour Dates

Congrats to XV! Since the success and critical acclaim of his last mixtape, “Everybody’s Nobody”, rotation on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, being featured on over 100 music blogs and websites, a breakthrough performance at SXSW, and tours with Chiddy Bang, Kid CuDi and The Clipse, XV has signed his first record deal with Warner Bros. Records. XV begins a nationwide tour on August 4th featuring Chiddy Bang and Donnis, and plans to release the highly anticipated mixtape, “VIZZY ZONE”, the same month. Check below for tour dates. Attached is a recent interview he had with his home town hip-hop station celebrating his signing.

While in between tours, XV dropped by to visit Tony Touch. Toca put Vizzy on the spot, and Vizzy burned the mic down. Definitely a candidate for the year end freestyle mixtape. Tune in to Toca Tuesdays each and every Tuesday from 8 pm to 12 am on Shade 45/XM 66.

This interview was held after his Highline Ballroom performance in NYC. The peak of this interview is how XV mentions he didn’t feel drawn to move away from his home town to gain popularity. He’s firm in staying home, Kansas, but making his future happen instead of moving to all the big cities to do such first.

During the interview “The Kid With The Green Backpack” discusses why Wichita’s Hip Hop scene has Bay-Area roots, what would be his comic book hero super powers (XV’s a big comic book fan), and tells a story about the craziest thing that’s happened while on tour with The Clipse.
